YouTube is conducting an artificial intelligence (AI) experiment on its YouTube Music app by adding an AI host to its radio and mix services , which can now be tested through the Labs program.
In YouTube's statement on its blog post as quoted from The Verge, Saturday (27/9), this "AI Host" is designed to deepen the user's listening experience by sharing relevant stories, fan trivia, and fun comments about their favorite music.
YouTube users who want to try this experimental feature can check the settings in their YouTube account because this feature can already be tried by a small number of participants to test the AI host prototype but is limited to the US only.

Google continues to expand the capabilities of its AI host starting with NotebookLM to help users review and learn a variety of topics.
Trying out a similar feature with YouTube Music makes sense, as it offers a similar experience to conventional radio.
The new YouTube Labs program also follows Google's broader Labs program for its AI experiments.
