Liverpool manager Arne Slot has urged his team to bounce back and secure a win when they host Manchester United in the North-West Derby on Sunday (19/10) at 10:30 p.m. WIB in the eighth week of the 2025/2026 Premier League season at Anfield.
Slot wants his team to react and not continue their negative streak, having previously suffered three consecutive defeats in two Premier League matches and one Champions League match.
"I don't think it matters who we play against on Sunday. If you lose three in a row and you're wearing a Liverpool shirt, it doesn't matter who you play against, you have to react," Slot said in a pre-match press conference, as quoted on the Premier League's official website on Friday.
"If there's one thing I can't fault the players for, it's that they give everything in every game. They give everything from the first minute to the last. That's what they did in the last game too," he added.
In those three defeats, Liverpool conceded five goals and only managed to score two.
