AS Roma beat Parma 2-1, keeping Napoli close behind

  AS Roma is keeping pace with Napoli in the Italian League standings after defeating Parma 2-1 in the ninth week at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, early Thursday morning WIB.


In this match, AS Roma's victory came thanks to goals scored by Mario Hermoso and Artem Dovbyk, while Parma managed to reduce the deficit through Alessandro Circati, according to Serie A records.


This victory puts AS Roma back in second place in the Italian League standings with 21 points from nine matches, only behind Napoli in first place on goal difference.


On the other hand, the defeat means Parma remain in 15th place in the Italian League standings with seven points from nine matches, just two points above the relegation zone.



Statistically, AS Roma was superior to Parma in this match, controlling 61 percent of ball possession and releasing 16 shots, nine of which were on target.


However, it was Parma who first created a dangerous opportunity in this match through Christian Ordonez's shot which was still saved by Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
