Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira, the technical director of Zamalek Club, failed to attend the press conference that was scheduled after the Al-Ahly Bank match on Thursday evening

Zamalek met with Al Ahly Bank at Cairo International Stadium as part of the 12th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The match between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw, meaning Zamalek suffered their fourth draw in the league this season.

Following the match, Zamalek’s crisis worsened when the coaching staff, led by Belgian Yannick Ferrera, announced their refusal to attend the press conference, which is a clear violation of the Egyptian Football Association’s regulations and warrants the imposition of a financial penalty on Zamalek and the coach.

According to the regulations, the punishment for coach Yannick Ferreira will be a warning not to repeat this matter, along with a financial penalty of 20,000 pounds, which will be doubled if the matter is repeated again.

Sources from the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association also confirmed that the club will be subject to a direct financial penalty according to the regulations that impose a financial penalty on the club in the event of its coach's absence from the post-match press conference.

This absence adds a new burden to the club, which is already burdened with financial crises, and raises questions about the stability of the relationship between the coach and the club's management in light of this individual action.

Zamalek, under Yannick Ferreira, have not achieved any victories in their last 4 matches in the Egyptian League, losing the top spot and dropping to fourth place in the Egyptian League standings with 19 points after playing 11 matches so far.
