This came, according to what Al-Qahira News Channel reported, citing unnamed Egyptian sources, as part of talks hosted by Egypt to implement US President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza.
According to sources, delegations participating in the Gaza ceasefire consultations have arrived in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
She added, "Indirect sessions have begun between the Palestinian and Israeli delegations to discuss preparing the ground conditions for the implementation of the prisoner exchange." She continued, "Egyptian and Qatari mediators are making great efforts with (the Palestinian and Israeli delegations) to establish a mechanism for the release of prisoners."
The Palestinian delegation is headed by Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, according to the same source, without providing further details about the other participants.
