Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital says infrastructure and talent will drive Indonesia's digital economy

  Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria believes that strengthening computing infrastructure and developing digital talent are key to driving the growth of Indonesia's digital economy.


He explained that business opportunities and digital economic growth in Indonesia are very promising because Indonesia has quite large resource potential and the availability of digital talent that is continuously being strengthened by the government.


"We are confident that we will lead in the next five to ten years, and that depends on the preparations we make for this," Nezar said at the launch of the Empowering Indonesia Report 2025 in Central Jakarta on Monday.


Nezar explained that the digital economy in the ASEAN region is projected to grow to US$1 trillion by 2030, with 40 percent of the contribution coming from Indonesia.
