Indonesian men's doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri advanced to the final of the 2025 Denmark Open after defeating Chinese pair Liang Wei Keng Liang/Wang Chang 21-15, 21-18 in the semifinals at Jynske Arena, Saturday.
"I'm happy to be back in the final. It wasn't easy against Liang/Wang," Fajar Alfian said in a statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) received in Jakarta on Saturday.
He explained that in the first game, he experienced some physical discomfort after falling quite hard when his body hit the court. However, he managed to persevere and secure the first set victory.
In the second game, both players were behind, but with all-out play and the use of flick service, they were able to score important points and win the match in two sets.
