The Indonesian aquatics team added a silver medal to the boys' 4x100m freestyle relay medal for the Indonesian contingent at the 2025 Bahrain Asian Youth Games (AYG).
Based on the match results report on the official AYG Bahrain 2025 website monitored in Jakarta, Wednesday, the aquatics team, strengthened by four young swimmers, namely Samuel Septionus, Reynard Purwanto, Kevin Erlangga Prayitno, and Mochammad Taufik, won second place in the final match at Khalifa Sport City, Bahrain with a time of 3 minutes, 27.41 seconds.
Samuel and his friends were 2.52 seconds behind the South Korean team who finished first with a time of 3 minutes, 24.89 seconds.
With this achievement, the Indonesian aquatics team has now collected three medals, plus the two bronze medals they won previously.
The two bronze medals were won from the girl's 4 x 100m freestyle relay event, strengthened by Natasha Oeoen, Yoshie Honda, Adelia Aulia, Chelsea Alexandra with a time of 3 minutes, 53.59 seconds, below China (second place with a time of 3 minutes, 46.50 seconds), and Hong Jong (champion with 3 minutes 45 seconds).
