Apple is rumored to be replacing physical buttons with haptic buttons on the iPhone 20, which will be the phone celebrating two decades of the iPhone in 2027.

Information about Apple's plans to replace the physical buttons on the iPhone is actually not new, because in previous generations similar rumors emerged and were conveyed by Instant Digital.
For example, in 2022, Apple reportedly planned to introduce a solid-state button, or one that relies on pressure sensors and vibration (haptic) feedback, on the iPhone 15 Pro in 2023 as part of "Project Bongo." However, the plan was reportedly scrapped in its final stages.
