Israeli forces kill a Palestinian child in the central West Bank, and settlers attack farmers near Ramallah.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement Thursday evening, "The child Yamen Samed Yousef Hamed (15 years old) was martyred by occupation bullets in Silwad."

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Silwad and clashes broke out at the town's entrance.

According to the agency, a group of Palestinians threw stones at Israeli forces, who responded by firing live ammunition, toxic gas and sound bombs at them, and shot the child.

She noted that the forces prevented the ambulance from transporting the injured child and left him lying on the ground, before allowing the ambulance to transport him to Ramallah Governmental Hospital.

Ongoing arrest campaign

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces arrested two brothers from the city of Hebron, in the southern West Bank, on Friday.

Wafa reported that the occupation forces stormed the city of Hebron and arrested the two brothers, Ayman and Mo'men Hassan Abu Sbeih, after raiding their home, searching it, and tampering with its contents.

For the second time in less than a month, the occupation forces seized lathe equipment from the Al-Hawouz neighborhood in Hebron, belonging to the Al-Natsha family, after having previously seized other equipment belonging to them.

On another front, the occupation forces set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth barriers.

Attacks on farmers

The Turkish Red Crescent and Religious Foundation continue to send humanitarian aid to Gaza.

In this context, settlers attacked Palestinian civilians on Friday while they were picking olives in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah.

Wafa reported that settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, attacked Palestinians and forced them to leave their lands at gunpoint, and detained a number of activists.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its teams have recorded a total of 259 attacks against olive pickers since the start of the campaign in the first week of October until now, with the occupation army carrying out 41 attacks, while settlers carried out 218.

During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by settlers and the occupation army. Farmers constantly face attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to significant financial losses and increasing their daily suffering under the occupation.

Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against citizens and their property, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 citizens in the West Bank.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, attacks by the occupation and its settlers have also resulted in the uprooting, destruction and damage of a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees.

The Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank during the two years of genocide in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,063 Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.

On October 10, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza ended a two-year Israeli war that left 68,643 Palestinian martyrs and 170,655 wounded, most of them children and women, with reconstruction costs estimated at about $70 billion.
