Pediatrician Dr. Ian Suryadi Suteja, M.Med Sc, Sp.A explained that the change in seasons from dry to rainy or transitional seasons has an impact on the decline in the body's immune system.
According to him, children and adults are vulnerable to illness because during the transitional season there are extreme weather changes.
"In this transitional season, a person's immune system generally decreases, as the body is focused on adapting to the extreme weather changes," said Dr. Ian, during a health discussion.
