Defender Kadek Arel said he is ambitious to defend his gold medal when competing with the Indonesian U-23 national team at the 2025 SEA Games tournament in Thailand next December.
Quoted from the official I.League website, Sunday, Kadek Arel said the burden of defending the gold medal did not make him afraid and instead became an additional motivation.
"If we win the 2023 title, our mission now is to defend it. It's not a burden, but we must strive and work hard together to win gold again," said Kadek Arel.
The Bali United Super League club player explained that competition in the Southeast Asian region is getting tighter, with Thailand and Vietnam still the strongest contenders.
Kadek Arel explained that this was evident in the competition at the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Championship, where Indonesia faced Thailand and Vietnam.
