Milwaukee Bucks extend Green's contract for four years

The Milwaukee Bucks have extended guard Andrew Joseph (AJ) Green's contract for four years, worth US$45 million.

According to an ESPN report in Jakarta on Friday, the 26-year-old player received a new contract after showing significant performance improvements in the 2024-2025 season.

In 73 games, he averaged 7.4 points per game (POG), 2.4 rebounds per game (RPG), and 1.5 assists per game (APG), with an average playing time of 22.7 minutes.

He also recorded a 42.7 percent three-point shooting accuracy, with a total of 155 successful shots from long range, aka the third most on the Bucks squad last season.

In the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Indiana Pacers, Green impressed by shooting 18 of 35 three-point attempts, despite his team falling to a 4-1 deficit in the playoffs.

This performance represents a significant improvement from the previous two seasons. In the 2022-2023 season, he averaged only 4.4 points per game in 9.9 minutes per game. Meanwhile, in the 2023-2024 season, he averaged 4.5 points per game in 11 minutes per game in 56 games.
