Artificial intelligence (AI) company OpenAI is attempting to suppress political bias in ChatGPT with a series of trials.
In a report published by The Verge on Saturday, OpenAI stated that "ChatGPT should have no political bias whatsoever." The company's latest GPT-5 AI model came closest to achieving that goal after passing internal "stress tests" for responding to divisive issues.
The company said the AI model had been tested for months, and the results, which the company said were optimal, were the result of years of efforts to quell conservatives who accused OpenAI's products of bias.
