Pelita Jaya Jakarta releases Yesaya Saudale to further develop

Pelita Jaya Jakarta President Andiko Ardi Purnomo said that the decision to release Yesaya Saudale was part of the club's steps to support the guard's development and career advancement .

"We actually want to give Yesaya the space to develop further and continue his professional career," he said when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Andiko explained that the decision to separate was also the result of mutual discussions, so the club prayed for the basketball player born in 1999 in the future.

Yesaya Saudale has been a key player for Pelita Jaya's second-string squad for the past few seasons. Since joining in 2021, he has played a key role in orchestrating play and has become one of the capital city team's consistent outside shooters.

The point guard also serves as a backup for the main local guards , namely Andakara Prastawa and Agassi Yeshe Goantara.

His performances have also helped Pelita Jaya consistently compete at the top of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He even helped the team win the title in 2024 and finish runner-up this year.

During his time with Pelita Jaya, Yesaya was known for his hard work on the court and his constant encouragement throughout every match. He also represented the Indonesian national team in several international tournaments, contributing to the development of national basketball.

Meanwhile, Yesaya said goodbye to Pelita Jaya Jakarta after four years with the club, which last won the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) in 2024.

He made the announcement via a farewell video uploaded to the club's Instagram social media account on Tuesday afternoon.

"Guys, thank you for supporting me for four years. I just want to say thank you to the fans, the manager, the sponsors, the players, and my friends," he said.

Although there has been no announcement regarding his future, the player who is synonymous with the number 3 jersey is widely rumored to join Tangerang Hawks Basketball for the 2026 season.
