Press reports have revealed that Barcelona's first-team player is close to leaving and will not renew his contract due to his repeated injuries

 

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," renewing Andreas Christensen's contract is currently off the table, especially after he suffered a new setback, adding to his recurring injury record.

The report indicated that Christensen wants to stay with Barça, but his repeated absences and doubts about his ability to return to his previous level make him close to leaving.

Media reports had previously indicated that the 29-year-old was one of the players Barcelona wanted to offload, but he refused to leave, preferring to see out his contract.

Christensen joined Barcelona in 2022 from Chelsea on a contract that runs until the summer of 2026.
