Persib broke into the top three after crushing PSBS 3-0.

   Persib Bandung broke into the top three of the Super League standings after defeating PSBS Biak 3-0 in the ninth week match at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday night.


Andrew Jung, Uiliam Barros and Luciano Guaycochea scored Persib's three goals, according to Liga Indonesia records.


Persib currently sits in third place in the Super League standings with 13 points from seven matches, while PSBS remains firmly in 17th place with five points from eight matches.


Persib immediately threatened through Uiliam Barros' kick which was blocked by PSBS goalkeeper Kadu.




It was Thom Haye's turn to create a chance for Persib, but his shot hit the crossbar.


Persib got a golden opportunity after Barros was one-on-one with Kadu, but his shot was saved by the Angolan goalkeeper.


Persib broke the deadlock by taking the lead from a penalty kick after PSBS defender Sandro Embalo fouled Patricio Matricardi in the penalty area.


Andrew Jung successfully carried out his task well after his shot was unpredictable by Kadu so that the score changed to 1-0 in the 45+3 minute.
