Persija Jakarta team manager Air Marshal TNI (Ret.) Ardhi Tjahjoko emphasized that his team is on a mission to bounce back in the next two away matches in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League competition.
Quoted from the official I.League website, Sunday, Ardhi said it was indeed not easy having to play four away matches in a row, but he hoped Marcio Souza's squad could show their best abilities.
"We must use this as motivation to show Persija's true character. We must not repeat the same mistakes we made in our previous two away matches," said Ardhi.
"So, whatever the league operator decides regarding the match schedule, Persija must be ready. The coaching team and players must remain determined and fully focused to give their best on the field," he said.
Previously, Persija Jakarta had played two away matches and both ended in defeat for the Kemayoran Tigers against PSM Makassar and Borneo FC.
Next, Persija Jakarta is scheduled to play two consecutive away matches against Persebaya Surabaya (18/10) and Madura United (26/10).
Ardhi added that Persija Jakarta is expected to learn a lot from the two consecutive defeats they suffered in their previous two matches.
"Don't repeat the same mistakes. The players must remember that. Every match is different and presents new challenges. Play to the bitter end," Ardhi said.
Persija originally had one home match after the match against Borneo FC, against Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC in week eight of the 2025/26 BRI Super League. However, that match was rescheduled to December 29, 2025, later in the year.
