The Brigades said in a statement: "As part of the Al-Aqsa Flood prisoner exchange deal, we will hand over the bodies of two occupation prisoners that were extracted today in the Gaza Strip at 10:00 PM Gaza time (19:00 GMT)."
Al-Qassam did not reveal additional details about the mechanism or location of the delivery.
Since last Monday, Hamas has released 20 living Israeli prisoners and handed over the bodies of 11 of the 28 prisoners, most of whom are Israeli, indicating that it needs heavy equipment and machinery to complete the exhumation of the remaining bodies.
For its part, Israel says the number of remaining bodies is 18, claiming that one of the bodies it received does not match any of its prisoners, and that among the returned bodies is that of a Nepalese citizen.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, Israel will hand over 15 bodies of Palestinians for every body of its citizens as part of the current exchange agreement.
Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip continue to search for the bodies of Israeli prisoners under the rubble left behind by the Israeli occupation army over the course of two years of genocidal warfare. The war resulted in the martyrdom of 68,116 Palestinians, the injury of 170,200 others, most of them children and women, and the destruction of approximately 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
