Indonesian men's doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin secured their spot in the final of the 2025 Indonesia Masters II after defeating fellow Indonesians Ali Faathir Rayhan/Devin Artha Wahyudi.
Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin made a smooth journey to the final after defeating Ali Faathir Rayhan/Devin Artha Wahyudi 21-15, 21-12 in the semifinals held at the PBSI Sports Hall in North Sumatra, Saturday.
Nikolaus Joaquin expressed his gratitude for their success in advancing to the final because they were able to play smoothly without injury.
In terms of the game, he felt that he and Raymond had successfully implemented the strategy that had been prepared so that they could win the match in two straight games.
"From the start, we took the field position with the wind at our back because we got our points from attacking to get as many points as possible, and it worked," he said.
"In the second game, because we were playing on court 1, we already knew what to do in a downwind position. We were brave enough to play lobs because we already knew their habits, so we could anticipate their attacks," he said.
