Kumparan and Populix media released the Indonesia AI Report 2025, which shows the public's perception of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in every aspect of daily life, from the workplace to social life.
"We all know that AI is no longer a thing of the future; it's already present all around us. In our work, on our phone screens, and even in the way we think. So, the research we're launching today illustrates how Indonesians live, work, and adapt to AI," said Andrias Ekoyuono, Head of AI and Corporate Strategy at Kumparan, in a discussion at the Kumparan AI for Indonesia event in Jakarta on Thursday.
Research obtained from 1,000 respondents from Gen Y and Gen Z who are familiar with and use AI in their daily lives, to find out the impact of AI technology on urban society.
The research found that 95 percent of respondents believe AI is impacting the way people work and believe it will change their jobs in the next five years. However, 68 percent are concerned about their jobs being replaced by AI.
"What's interesting is that 91 percent of the public is proactively embracing this transformation, believing their AI skills are aligned with future job requirements," Andrias said.
