Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria said that the interest of Indonesia's young generation in developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology is very high.
According to him, this is demonstrated by the large number of start-up companies from Indonesia operating in the AI sector.
"Many new initiatives have emerged in the past five years. We have around 2,800 startups developing AI technology," Nezar said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
He explained that Indonesia has completed UNESCO's AI Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM), which demonstrates Indonesia's readiness to face AI developments.
