The Golden Orange Festival in Antalya, Turkey, screens three films about the suffering of Gaza and Palestine.

The 62nd Antalya Film Festival, which hosts numerous directors, screenwriters, and actors from Turkey and abroad, will be held from October 24 to November 2.

The festival is scheduled to screen five films in the "From Borders to No Borders" collection, which highlights the suffering in the Middle East.

Three films will portray the human tragedy in Gaza and Palestine in general, on the big screen through the eyes of directors, screenwriters, and actors from the Middle East.

The first film is "Put Your Soul in Your Hand and Walk" by Iranian director Sepideh Farsi, a documentary depicting life in Gaza under the Israeli occupation. Comprised of video interviews Farsi conducted with a young woman who lived there during the genocide, the film poignantly depicts the suffering of human existence in the midst of war.

The second film is "The Voice of Hind Rajab," written and directed by Tunisian Kaouther Ben Hania, which won the Grand Jury Prize at this year's Venice Film Festival.

The film depicts the final hours of the life of Hind, a five-year-old girl, before the Israeli occupation forces killed her and six of her relatives by bombing the car they had taken refuge in southwest Gaza City on January 29, 2024.

The film "What's Left of You" is directed by Jordanian director Sherine Dabis.

The film "What's Left of You," directed by Jordanian director Cherine Dabis, will also premiere at the festival. The film delves deeply into the collective memory of the Palestinian people and the traumas passed down through generations, through a family story spanning three generations.

The festival's artistic director, Deniz Yavuz, told Anadolu Agency that the festival seeks to avoid ignoring the suffering and massacres in the Middle East. He added that they created the "From Borders to No Borders" collection at the festival last year, noting that this year's collection included films focused on Palestine, and that it was originally intended to highlight the refugee issue.
