PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo) launched the GoTo Merah Putih Foundation (YGMP) as a step to support the welfare of driver partners and their families.
Amelia Sutanto, Chair of the GoTo Merah Putih Foundation, stated that YGMP, formerly known as the GoTo Impact Foundation, represents GoTo's commitment to strengthening the well-being of driver-partner families. As its first initiative, the YGMP program focuses on the well-being of driver-partners' children.
"Why children? Because we realize that children are not only a source of happiness, but also a source of hope for our partners to achieve a better life in the future," Amelia said in South Jakarta on Tuesday.
Through direct understanding of its partners' needs, YGMP designs programs that are targeted, measurable, and have a real impact on its families. YGMP's programs cover three key aspects of life: education, health, and social services.
The educational aspect is through the GoTo Merah Putih Scholarship in collaboration with Paramadina University, Sriwijaya Polytechnic Palembang, Medan State Polytechnic, Semarang State Polytechnic, Surabaya State Polytechnic, Ujung Semarang Polytechnic, and Malang State Polytechnic.
