The Israeli occupation army admits to bombing Nusairat despite the ceasefire. An Egyptian team enters Gaza to search for Israeli bodies.

The Israeli military said in a statement that its aircraft "carried out a precise and targeted raid in the Nuseirat area," claiming that the raid targeted "an Islamic Jihad operative who was planning to carry out an operation against Israeli forces in the near future."

Meanwhile, the administration of Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat announced that it had received four injuries as a result of a civilian vehicle being targeted in the Al-Ahly Club area in the center of the camp.

In a parallel development, the official Israeli channel Kan revealed that, under American pressure, Israel has allowed an Egyptian team to enter Gaza to assist in locating the bodies of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas. This comes after Tel Aviv had previously refused to allow any foreign teams into Gaza.

The channel explained that Egyptian crews are heading to Gaza in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross, while Washington continues to send its envoys, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in an effort to maintain calm and prevent the collapse of the understandings.

While Kan did not specify the date of the Egyptian team's entry, the private Hebrew Channel 12 reported that "Egyptian crews will enter Gaza on Saturday evening to participate in the search for the remains of Israelis, and they will carry equipment with them."

Since the agreement went into effect on October 10, Hamas has released 20 living Israeli prisoners and the remains of 16 of the original 28, most of whom are Israeli. However, Tel Aviv claims the remaining number is 13, after claiming that one of the bodies received did not match any of its prisoners.

“People in Gaza are still hungry.”

In the humanitarian context, former UN Special Rapporteur on the human right to food, Hilal Alfar, stated that "Israel's cessation of its attacks on Gaza does not mean an end to the Palestinians' suffering from hunger," noting that Tel Aviv has used starvation as a weapon of genocide against the population of the Strip.

In press statements on the sidelines of the symbolic "Gaza Tribunal" sessions held in Istanbul, she added that the UN's declaration of famine in the Gaza Strip last August "constitutes legal evidence that Israel is committing crimes of genocide," stressing that the effects of starvation are "long-lasting, especially on children."

Meanwhile, Palestinian police in Gaza warned citizens to avoid approaching military remnants and suspicious objects left behind by the Israeli occupation forces in various areas of the Strip, confirming that explosives engineering teams have continued to dismantle them since the ceasefire took effect.

In a statement, police said that recent days have witnessed "incidents of suspicious objects exploding, resulting in injuries, including to children, as a result of tampering with them."

Police urged citizens to "exercise caution and immediately report any suspicious or strange objects among the rubble and debris of destroyed buildings," warning against approaching or tampering with them.

According to a previous statement from the Government Media Office, the Gaza Strip contains 20,000 unexploded shells and bombs left behind by the Israeli occupation forces in various areas. These unexploded ordnance pose a continuing threat to civilians, with several injuries reported from the explosion of these explosive devices, the most recent of which was the injury of Palestinian twins on Friday.

After two years of war, Hamas and Israel reached an agreement to halt the genocide in Gaza and release living and dead Israeli prisoners, in addition to 1,968 Palestinian prisoners, based on a plan drawn up by US President Donald Trump.

This war, launched by Israel with US support on October 8, 2023, resulted in the deaths of 68,519 Palestinians, the injury of 170,382 others, most of them children and women, and the destruction of 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
