The past few hours have witnessed positive developments in the health of Al Ahly player Imam Ashour, who suffered from the Hepatitis A virus in recent days, which kept him out of training and matches

Media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed the latest developments regarding Imam Ashour, explaining that he is closely monitoring his health and revealing some details related to the results of the latest tests and the medical staff's stance on his return.

There has been a lot of news and rumors circulating recently about Imam Ashour's condition, so I would like to clarify the whole picture. I am in direct contact with Imam himself, and I follow his condition closely and check on him constantly. Thank God, I am 100% sure that things are going very well," Shobier said in statements on his radio program on Sunday morning.

He added: "Until last week, Imam's tests were clearly improving, and the percentage was supposed to drop to less than 50. It actually reached 70, which the doctors considered a very positive indicator. After that, a new test was conducted, and the result came back below 50, which made Imam Ashour and the medical staff very happy. Then another test was conducted, which showed an almost identical result, with a slight difference."

He added, "The player is going crazy and is hoping to make it to the Super Cup, but the doctor confirmed that returning to training requires some gradual progress, and that he may go to the club but not participate in training immediately. Coach Jesús Torop is very impressed with Imam and his playing style and is looking forward to his return soon."

He pointed out: "Imam Ashour is expected to begin a gradual return to training within two to four days at most. If things go as planned, there's a strong possibility he'll travel with the team to the Super Cup match, even if he doesn't actually participate. The final decision will be left to the medical and technical staff to accurately assess his condition."

It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly club defeated Aigle Noir 1-0, thus qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League.
