The social media app Threads has introduced a new feature that allows users to determine which replies from other users will appear in their posts.
According to a TechCrunch release on Thursday (30/10), Threads has previously provided the option to limit replies to only accounts that are followed, following, or mentioned in a user's posts.
However, the new feature allows users to keep the reply space open for everyone without worrying about the discussion changing direction or being disrupted by negative comments.
Meta, the platform provider, explains that this feature is designed to allow users to "set the tone of the conversation" while providing more options for interaction.
Implementing this approach allows users to engage in more public conversations while retaining the power to control the content as the owner of the post.
