The Turkish Red Crescent Society announced on Sunday that its teams were able to prepare large quantities of food for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for the first time in months, following the ceasefire's entry into force.
"Today, for the first time in a long time, we in Gaza were able to prepare this much food. Today, we received larger quantities of materials," the association said in a statement. "We may not have had enough firewood, but the pieces of wood we collected from the rubble came to our aid."
The association continued, "The smiles on children's faces, the gratitude in people's eyes, and the well-wishes from the elderly for our people all give us strength." It emphasized that "the more aid we receive, the more fires will be lit, more tables will be set, and we will participate in the prayers of more people."
The statement concluded: "With your support, the Turkish Red Crescent's fire will always be burning in Gaza."
