The official Lebanese National News Agency reported late Saturday evening that "the raid that targeted a motorcycle in the town of Qlaileh (south) resulted in the death of a martyr," without providing further details.
Earlier on Saturday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that "an Israeli airstrike on a car in the town of Harouf, Nabatieh District, resulted in the death of one person and the injury of another."
The Lebanese agency reported that "an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike on Saturday afternoon, targeting a car near the Harouf elementary school, on the Harouf-Jibshit road," without providing further details.
In this context, the agency stated that "the southern skies in the western sector are witnessing intense Israeli drone flights over the city of Tyre, at low altitudes, reaching the skies of Al-Qasimiyah and Abu Al-Aswad, north of Tyre."
For its part, the Israeli occupation army claimed in a statement via the X platform that it had killed "Hezbollah leader Zein al-Abidin Fattouni, the official in charge of the anti-tank missile system of the Radwan Force unit, during a raid targeting the town of Jibshit."
The army claimed that Fattouni had recently been working to "reconstruct terrorist infrastructure" belonging to the party in southern Lebanon, considering this a "violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon."
There was no immediate comment from the Lebanese authorities or Hezbollah on the Israeli army's statement.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement it reached with Hezbollah in November 2024, and continues to occupy five Lebanese hills it seized during the war.
In October 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon, which turned into a full-scale war in September 2024.
For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and territories in Lebanon and Syria, and refuses to withdraw from these territories and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the pre-1967 borders.
