Ubisoft has officially launched a new subsidiary called Vantage Studios, backed by investment from Tencent, to manage a number of the company's flagship game franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.
As reported by Engadget on Thursday, the formation of the development studio is a follow-up to the restructuring announced by Ubisoft last March, along with an investment worth 1.16 billion euros (Rp. 22.6 trillion) from Tencent which took a minority stake in Vantage.
The two co-CEOs leading Vantage are Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot. Guillemot emphasized that the goal of this reorganization is to give the team greater focus, freedom, and accountability, allowing it to adapt more quickly to player needs.
