This came during a press conference held by Minister Fidan with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, following their meeting in the capital, Ankara.
Fidan explained that the agreement on the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan for a ceasefire in Gaza followed lengthy consultations and negotiations, was the result of talks hosted by Egypt, and was ratified by the Israeli government.
The Turkish Foreign Minister added that the key elements of the first phase of the plan include the start of humanitarian aid entry into Gaza, the return of displaced Palestinians to their homes, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces to the agreed-upon positions marked on the map.
He stressed the great importance of implementing these provisions, adding, "As an international community, we must now focus on two fundamental points. First, the agreement must proceed without any obstruction, and in particular, there must be no provocations from Israel that could restart the war, continue the genocide, or continue uprooting people from their land."

Fidan noted that Türkiye will provide support for the implementation of the agreement on the ground and will continue to raise global strategic awareness and mobilize international diplomatic efforts toward this goal.
He also stressed the importance of implementing the subsequent phases of the agreement without interruption, following the first phase, which is essential to achieving new goals and ensuring the process's uninterrupted progress.
The Turkish Foreign Minister said , "Stopping the operation would mean—God forbid—the return of massacres. Therefore, it is imperative that we meet with the international community, our regional partners, and our brothers to discuss what needs to be done in the next stages until we reach a two-state solution."
.
He explained, "Our current priority is to implement the stages in Gaza: the first stage includes a ceasefire, prisoners, and humanitarian aid, while the second stage will later address the issue of administering Gaza and restoring security and internal order."
The Turkish Foreign Minister stated, "This is an issue that requires our constant attention and intense focus. God willing, as we have done so far, we will continue to manage this process with great precision and care."
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli occupation army announced that the agreement had entered into force at 12:00 PM Israel time, after its forces withdrew to the yellow line stipulated in the agreement.
On Friday morning, the Israeli government ratified a ceasefire agreement on the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange with Palestinian factions.
On Thursday, Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on the first phase of his ceasefire and prisoner exchange plan. This agreement followed four days of indirect negotiations between the two sides in Sharm el-Sheikh, with the participation of Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, and under US supervision.
Tel Aviv estimates there are 48 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, 20 of whom are still alive. Meanwhile, more than 11,100 Palestinians are languishing in its prisons, suffering torture, starvation, and medical neglect. Many of these Palestinians have been killed, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 8, 2023, leaving 67,194 martyrs and 169,890 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 460 Palestinians, including 154 children.
