The Golden State Warriors released naturalized Indonesian player Marques Bolden after completing the 2025-2026 NBA preseason.
The club's website in Jakarta reported Friday that the center was recruited by the Warriors on September 29, 2025, as part of the roster for the NBA preseason series.
However, after an evaluation during the trial period, management decided not to renew his contract ahead of the 2025-2026 regular season.
The player, often called Mas Joyo by Indonesian basketball fans, appeared in two preseason games with the Warriors. The 6-foot-2 American-born player averaged 4.5 points per game (ppg) and two rebounds per game (rpg) in 5.5 minutes of playing time.
The 26-year-old has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
He is known as a classic center with strength in defense. The future of the player who led Indonesia to a gold medal at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam remains unknown.
