The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) explained that the occupation forces detained dozens of Palestinians in the Hebron Governorate and interrogated them in the field after assaulting them by beating them.
The media activist in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, told the agency that the occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in the town, stormed dozens of homes, searched them, and vandalized their contents.
The occupation forces also detained more than 30 Palestinians for hours in the courtyard of a brick factory in the Asida area, opposite the home of the family of the martyr Walid Sabarna, and interrogated them in the field and subjected them to beatings.
In Hebron, the occupation forces detained a number of Palestinians and assaulted them by beating them. Among those detained were identified as: Muhammad Hussein Abu Hadid, Yasser Abu Turki, Mahmoud Abu Daoud, Rami Al-Junaidi, and Hazem Al-Atrash, according to Wafa.
The agency added that the occupation forces set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth barriers.
In Nablus, Wafa reported that the occupation forces arrested nine citizens from the city and Balata camp at dawn on Saturday.
Security sources told the agency that the occupation forces stormed the camp and arrested former Legislative Council member Jamal al-Tirawi and his two sons, after raiding and searching their home.
The forces also raided several neighborhoods in the city and arrested six other citizens: Hamza Muhammad Jadallah, Islam Muhammad Jadallah, and Mu’tasim Salim Jadallah from the Old City, Ahmad Al-Dawaya from Al-Ta’awun Street, Muhammad Abu Rajab from Kafr Qalil, and Anas Al-Shannar from Al-Ma’ajin neighborhood.
In Ramallah, local sources told Wafa news agency that the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of the city, and stopped and searched a number of vehicles, causing traffic congestion.
In Jenin, local Palestinian sources confirmed that the occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in the town of Qabatiya, south of the city, which included raids on citizens’ homes and their search in the eastern and western neighborhoods, amid a heavy military deployment.
