The Court of Arbitration for Sport decided on Friday to open an investigation into the president of the Spanish Football League, Javier Tebas, following a complaint filed by the Spanish Sports Council on October 20.
Laporta told Mundo Deportivo that opening this case against Javier Tebas is not good news, and explained that relations with the league are going well after overcoming some disagreements in the past.
He added: "This was instigated by a group I don't know who they are. We spoke with the president of La Liga at the time and this issue was resolved."
He concluded: "I don't think this is good news right now, especially since our relationship with the league has become increasingly normal. I don't know where these attempts to dismiss the league president are coming from. I don't trust them at all."
Barcelona will return to play at the Spotify stadium "Camp Nou" after two and a half years of renovation, in a moment awaited by all fans of the Catalan team, when they meet Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening as part of the competitions of the thirteenth round of the Spanish League Championship at 5:15 pm Cairo time, 6:15 pm Saudi time.
