IT company Acer Indonesia, through its #AcerBerbagi program, is striving to achieve educational equality by providing assistance in the form of technological devices to schools in West Papua.
"We are working to expand access to digital education across the country so that every teacher and student has an equal opportunity to develop through the use of technology," said Acer Indonesia President Director Leny Ng in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The company's aid was distributed to SMP Negeri 14 Nuni in Manokwari Regency, West Papua. Acer provided 10 laptops and 10 all-in-one PCs to support the educational digitalization program there.
Leny stated that the assistance was based on the awareness that digitalization in education can be realized not only through the presence of technological devices but also through building a sustainable learning ecosystem.
He believes that human resources, especially competent and qualified teachers, are the main key to creating sustainable innovation.
