Cloudflare outage causes various digital services to stall

Cloudflare, a US technology company that plays a role in critical internet infrastructure, experienced an unidentified technical issue on Tuesday (11/18) local time, which triggered a spike in "500 Internal Server Error" error statuses across many digital services worldwide that use the internet, such as social media and a number of AI applications.

Cloudflare, which protects millions of websites from malicious attacks such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), reported an unusual spike in traffic to one of its services starting at 11:20 a.m. UK time.

A company spokesperson stated that this surge caused some traffic passing through its network to experience errors, as reported by The Guardian, Tuesday (11/18) local time.
