After their painful loss to Real Madrid in El Clasico, Barcelona regained their balance with a steady step, achieving a convincing victory over their guest Elche (3-1) in the 11th round of the Spanish League on Sunday evening.

 

Young star Lamine Jamal (18 years old) opened the scoring early in the ninth minute with a powerful shot.

The fans had barely finished their celebration when Ferran Torres doubled Barcelona's lead in the 11th minute, following a well-coordinated attack.

Then, English striker Marcus Rashford added the third goal in the 61st minute, while Rafa Mir scored a consolation goal for Elche in the 42nd minute.

Barcelona returned to winning ways in La Liga after losing the Clasico against arch-rivals Real Madrid 1-2 in the last round.

With this victory, Barcelona raised its tally to 25 points, placing it second in the La Liga standings, five points behind leaders Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Elche's tally remained frozen at 14 points in ninth place.
