Apple is likely to delay the launch of the second-generation iPhone Air, which was originally planned for release in the fall of 2026.
The Verge reported Tuesday that Apple no longer plans to launch a second-generation iPhone Air next fall and has already "drastically reduced production of the first version," according to The Information .
Without the second-generation iPhone Air, the likely iPhone lineup released in fall 2026 will include the iPhone 18 Pro and a foldable iPhone.
The Information reports that the company wants to announce a new iPhone Air next fall that is lighter, has a larger battery capacity, and is equipped with a vapor chamber like the iPhone 17 Pro in 2025.
According to sources quoted by The Information , Apple is likely to launch the latest iPhone Air in the spring of 2027 at the earliest.
The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18E phones will also be launched in the spring of 2027.
