Tangerang Hawks Basketball has taken swift action to recruit Mohammed Aymane Garudi Arip to strengthen the team for the upcoming IBL season, which begins on January 10.
The IBL website reported on Monday that Rans Simba Bogor released Aymane, who had played for the club for the past two seasons, in early November.
The Hawks believe that this talented local player will strengthen their local squad.
In two seasons with Rans, Aymane only played 10 games.
Three games in 2024 and seven games, including one playoff game, in the 2025 season. His playing time is also not much, just under 3 minutes per game.
But now he looks more ready to turn over a new leaf with the Hawks and become a key pillar of the team in going further.
Aymane was born in Rabat, Morocco. During his college years, he played for FUS Rabat in the Morocco D1 League from 2020 to 2022.

Until finally he joined the Indonesia Patriots in 2023, as one of the young player development programs owned by the Central Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Basketball Association (DPP Perbasi).
Tangerang Hawks Basketball continues to improve and overhaul the squad to face the upcoming season.
A rather surprising player recruitment policy was to recruit Yesaya Saudale, who was released by Pelita Jaya Jakarta.
The guard is a reserve player at his old club, still relatively young, but has a lot of good experience while competing in the IBL.
In the last two seasons, he helped Pelita Jaya win the 2024 IBL title and become runners-up in 2025.
Yesaya's arrival will help the team go further by capitalizing on local players who can significantly add to the strength of foreign basketball players.
The Hawks also retained Antonius Joko Endratmo, who has led the club to the IBL playoffs for the past two seasons. All of these measures were implemented by the Hawks to increase their competitiveness and reach the top of the league.
