Bojan said the match against Dewa United was tough and tight.

Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak said the match against Dewa United was tough and tight in the 13th week of the BRI Super League at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, Friday night.

"I've said before that playing against a team of Dewa's stature with the quality of players they have is no easy feat," Bojan said, as quoted from the club's official website on Friday.

"It was a very tough and tight match. But, despite everything, I'm very happy and grateful that we were able to win. Three points for tonight," he said.

In this match, Persib Bandung secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Dewa United thanks to Andrew Jung's penalty kick goal.

Persib Bandung then had to play with 10 men after winger Beckham Putra Nugraha received a second yellow card from the referee, but was able to maintain the lead until the match ended.

Having secured a victory despite having to play with 10 men since the 87th minute, the Croatian coach admitted he was proud of his players' efforts.

"Defensively, I'm also very pleased because we didn't concede a goal in this match. They had several chances but couldn't penetrate Persib's defense," said Bojan.

Thanks to this victory, Persib Bandung rose to third place in the Super League standings with 22 points from 10 matches, eight points behind Borneo FC in first place.

Next, Persib Bandung is scheduled to return to compete in the AFC Champions League (ACL) II against Lion City Sailors at Bishan Stadium, Singapore.
