Indonesian women's national team striker Claudia Scheunemann hopes to get a better result in the FIFA Women's Matchday match against Taiwan tomorrow, Saturday (29/11) at 19.30 WIB at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
Claudia said this after her team, which was then still coached by coach Satoru Mochizuki, was defeated by Taiwan last July at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers. At that time, Indonesia lost 1-2 and this defeat meant that Garuda Pertiwi failed to qualify for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup.
"For me, tomorrow's match will be an extraordinary one. We previously played against Chinese Taipei in the AFC qualifiers, losing 2-1. Hopefully, we can achieve even better results tomorrow," Claudia said at a pre-match press conference on Friday.
Indonesia faces Taiwan with confidence after defeating Nepal 2-1 in their first friendly. Indonesia conceded a goal in the first match, but then turned the match around to win 2-1.
