Dewa United suffers a major loss due to Kaleb Ramot's long-term injury

Dewa United Banten confirmed that senior forward Kaleb Ramot Gemilang will be sidelined for a long time after suffering an Achilles tendon injury while participating in the Indonesian national basketball team's training camp (TC) in Australia, in preparation for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.

The club's website reported on Saturday that the injury forced the 34-year-old to undergo surgery upon his arrival in Indonesia and that he would enter a recovery period projected to last eight to 12 months.

"We are very concerned about Kaleb's injury, as it is a huge loss, not only for the club but also for him as an athlete," said Dewa United Banten manager Zaki Iskandar.

The injury occurred in the middle of the national team's intensive training program, when Kaleb was following a series of physical and technical preparations.

Medical examination showed significant damage to the Achilles tendon , so surgery was considered the most appropriate step to restore the structure and function of the tendon.

Zaki explained that the operation had gone smoothly and the Anak Dewa captain had immediately entered the initial recovery phase.

The club's medical team has developed a long-term rehabilitation plan that includes gradual physiotherapy, muscle strengthening, and regular evaluations to ensure the healing process is progressing as planned.
