Dewa United Banten basketball player Dio Tirta has expressed his commitment to performing more loyally and giving his best to his team, after extending his contract to compete in the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).
The club's website stated on Wednesday that management had successfully extended the guard's contract , making him the longest-serving player since the club's founding.
"I feel happy because we can still fight together to achieve new targets," said Dio.
The extension of his tenure confirms his position as a central figure in Dewa United's journey from season to season.
He revealed that the reason for extending his contract with the club was because of new targets from management and support for training facilities as the main factors.
"Perhaps the main reason was the new target, and on the other hand, the facilities at the club are really good for athletes, so I chose to stay," he said.
Entering the next competitive season, Dio is aiming for major achievements. He wants to lead Anak Dewa to defend their title and perform well in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia representing Indonesia.
