For committing "genocide" in Gaza, the Istanbul prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and 36 Israeli officials.

The Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office stated in a statement that, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Criminal Court of Peace issued arrest warrants for 37 suspects on charges of "genocide," including Netanyahu.

He added that the warrant was issued against the suspects for committing "crimes against humanity" and "genocide" in Gaza, as well as targeting the "Global Steadfastness Flotilla" to break the siege on Gaza.

The statement explained that, in light of the evidence obtained from the statements of the “Global Resilience Flotilla” activists who arrived in Turkey last October, it became clear that Israeli state officials bear criminal responsibility for the systematic “crimes against humanity” and “genocide” committed in Gaza, as well as for the actions taken against the Resilience Flotilla.

On October 1st, the Israeli occupation army attacked 42 ships belonging to the Steadfastness Flotilla while they were sailing in international waters towards Gaza, and arrested hundreds of international activists on board, transferring them to Ketziot prison, before beginning their deportation on the third of the same month.

The statement added that the duty criminal magistrate in Istanbul issued arrest warrants for 37 suspects, including Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The warrants also included Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Navy Commander David Saar-Salama, on charges of crimes against humanity under Article 77 of the Turkish Penal Code, and genocide under Article 76 of the same law. The statement affirmed that the investigation is ongoing thoroughly, comprehensively, and from multiple angles.

Since October 8, 2023, Israel, with American support, has committed genocide in Gaza for two years, leaving about 69,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded, most of whom are children and women.
