Former Meta employee launches smart ring

Two former Meta employees who joined the Sandbor startup have just launched a smart ring called Stream that allows owners to interact with an AI assistant and also allows them to control music.

The idea to create this smart ring came from Sandbar CEO, Mina Fahmi, when she was in a difficult situation to take out her smartphone, suddenly interesting ideas emerged that she had to remember or note down.

"Many ideas come to me while I'm walking or traveling, and I don't want to take out my phone to interrupt the moment. I don't want to shout into my earphones where others can hear me convey an idea," Fahmi said, as reported by TechCrunch on Wednesday.

"Kirak and I tried to understand what it takes to truly capture a thought as it emerges. That's how we created Stream," he continued.

In a demo after launching the smart ring, Fahmi wore the Stream ring on his index finger and recorded his thoughts by pressing and holding the touchpad.
