Persib Bandung suffered their first defeat in the Asia Champions League (ACL) 2 after going down 3-2 to Lion City Sailors in their fifth Group G match at Bishan Stadium in Singapore on Wednesday (November 26). This defeat makes the race for the round of 16 even tighter.
Despite the defeat, Persib still leads Group G with 10 points from three wins, one draw, and one loss. Maung Bandung leads Bangkok United on goal difference, which also has 10 points.
In another match, Selangor FC held Bangkok United to a 1-1 draw. The draw keeps Bangkok's chances of qualifying alive, but Persib still holds the top spot.
Persib has a goal difference of +4 (10 goals scored, 6 conceded), while Bangkok only has +2 (8 goals scored, 6 conceded).
Meanwhile, the victory over Persib gave Lion City Sailors another chance to qualify.
