On Friday evening, a Palestinian was wounded by Israeli occupation army gunfire in the village of Burqin, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews "dealt with a young man (19 years old) who was shot with live ammunition in Burqin, and he was transferred to the hospital."
Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the village, leading to clashes during which live ammunition, gas and sound bombs were fired, while the youths threw stones at the forces.
Widespread arrests and raids in Nablus
On Saturday morning, the occupation forces arrested four citizens from the Nablus governorate, after raiding the Balata, Askar Old and New camps and the town of Beit Furik.
During the raid on Beit Furik on Friday evening, a young man was shot in the foot with live ammunition amid heavy gunfire and toxic gas bombs, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The Red Crescent said in a statement that "its crews dealt with the injury of a young man (18 years old) who was shot by the Israeli occupation army in the town of Beit Furik, and he was transferred to the hospital."
The occupation forces also stormed the Old City of Nablus, raided homes near the Zafer Al-Masri School, and removed pictures of a number of martyrs.
Dozens of Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation during an Israeli raid on the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters at homes and vehicles, causing property damage and preventing entry to and exit from the village for more than three hours. Two checkpoints were also erected at the village's eastern and northern entrances.
In Tubas, the occupation forces stormed the Al-Far’a camp on Friday evening, raided shops and several homes, before withdrawing without making any arrests.
The forces also carried out raids in the town of Beit Rima, north of Ramallah, and in Yamoun, west of Jenin, while clashes broke out in the city of Dura, south of Hebron.
In Jericho, Israeli settlers attacked a citizen from the Al-Auja waterfall north of the city, throwing stones at his vehicle and assaulting him, causing him bruises and serious damage to his car, according to what Hassan Mleihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar human rights organization, told Wafa news agency.
The Israeli occupation army and settlers killed at least 1,072 Palestinians in the West Bank, injured about 10,000, and arrested more than 20,000 Palestinians, including 1,600 children, during the two years of genocide in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 8, 2023.
On October 10, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Hamas and Israel came into effect, ending a war that left more than 69,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure with initial losses estimated at about $70 billion.
