The eighteenth Turkish aid ship arrives at El Arish port carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza

The ship was equipped by the Turkish Red Crescent, and it was received at the port of El Arish by representatives of the association and the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

The ship set sail on Wednesday from the port of Mersin in southern Türkiye, heading towards the port of El Arish, carrying about 800 tons of food and living supplies for Gaza.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Mahmoud Tawfiq on Thursday ways to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, during a meeting between them in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Yerli Kaya explained in a post on the Turkish platform "In Social" that his meeting with the Egyptian minister was very fruitful and constructive.

He added: "We discussed cooperation between our units, particularly in the areas of accelerating the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, combating organized crime, drugs, cybercrime, and irregular migration, and disaster prevention, response, and recovery activities. I thank the Egyptian Minister for his hospitality."

On October 10, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Hamas and Israel came into effect, ending a genocide that left more than 69,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure with initial losses estimated at about $70 billion.
