Jean-Paul van Gastel demands quality improvement from PSIM's reserve Players
PSIM Yogyakarta coach Jean-Paul van Gastel is demanding the quality of his reserve players because they will be without several key players when they face Persija Jakarta in the 2025/2026 Super League match on Friday (28/11).

In the match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Friday (28/11) starting at 19.00 WIB, the visiting team PSIM was without four players, three of whom were important pillars this season.

Ze Valente is out due to a suspension due to accumulated yellow cards, while Cahya Supriadi and Raka Cahyana are expected to represent the Indonesian U-22 national team at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. The final player to miss the match is goalkeeper Harlan Suardi due to a knee injury.

"So we have several positions that need to be filled by other players. For me, that's a good thing, because from day one, I asked the reserve players to always be ready. Because when the time comes, the team will need their contributions," said Van Gastel at a pre-match press conference at SUGBK on Thursday.

Ze, Cahya, and Raka are key players behind Laskar Mataram's brilliant performance this season, which has penetrated the top four competition in the standings as a promoted team.

Last season's Indonesian League 2 champions are in fourth place with 22 points, having won six, drawn four, and lost two. Ze has started all 12 of these matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist .
