The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank is strengthening regional trade integration through the 30th Annual Meeting of the Asian Exim Bank Forum (AEBF) 2025 in Kerala, India."More than 70 percent of Indonesia's trade is within the Asian region. Indonesia Eximbank is committed to ensuring exporters can optimally utilize this integration," said Sukatmo Padmosukarso, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Acting Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank, in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.
During the meeting, Indonesia Eximbank signed several strategic partnerships, one of which was a joint statement with UK Export Finance (UKEF).
UKEF will provide technical support for Indonesia's accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), specifically the three Export Credit Group (ECG) instruments, namely anti-bribery , environmental, social and governance (ESG), and sustainable financing for Indonesian projects abroad.
Then, a memorandum of understanding with Export Finance Australia (EFA).
This MoU covers co-financing collaboration and funding support as well as technical expertise support related to credit, guarantee, and insurance scheme arrangements to strengthen Indonesia Eximbank's readiness to meet OECD standards.
Next, an offer letter from the Export-Import Bank of India provides capacity building support to learn best practices in SME financing .
In addition, LPEI also held bilateral meetings with collaboration opportunities.
For example, with Afreximbank (African Export–Import Bank) to identify a number of joint projects in Africa involving Indonesian companies, particularly in the infrastructure, manufacturing and services sectors.
The collaboration focuses on co-financing and guarantees to strengthen the expansion of Indonesian companies in the African region.
There is also Export Development Canada (EDC), where both parties will identify export-oriented companies to be developed as opportunities for financing and guarantee cooperation in the IEB-EDC collaborative scheme.
